Stills from Komisky Mourning

The first film produced under the Bishop’s Peak Films label, Komisky Mourning was shot in Los Angeles, CA during October, 2007 with principal photography wrapping on October 21st. Rehearsals opened in Westwood and finished in Burbank two days before filming. The film was shot at locations on UCLA’s Westwood campus and in the L.A. Metro Station at Santa Monica and Vermont. On the final day of shooting, the cast and crew had lunch at Hamburger Mary’s in West Hollywood – inadvertently appropriate, given the film’s subject matter.

Komsiky Mourning was first screened at the Palm Theatre in San Luis Obispo, CA in September, 2008. The private screening to a packed house was part of a One Night Only film fest featuring SBP’s entire short film collection.  The event included the only screenings of SBP’s first two films, The Safe and Spells; films that producer M.J. Johnson has vowed will never be shown publically ever again!
